Deals Nerd
Privacy Policy

Who we are
Deals Nerd is an editorial blog about Amazon finds, run by a single individual at dealsnerd.shop. There is no company, no team, and no marketing list. We curate products we like and link to them on Amazon.
If you need to reach us, a contact form is coming soon. In the meantime you can message us on Pinterest at @dealsnerd.
What information we collect
Almost nothing. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details, and there's no account, signup, cart, or checkout on this site.
The only analytics we use is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly by design: it doesn't set cookies, it doesn't fingerprint your device, and IP addresses are anonymized at the edge before any data is recorded. What we see is anonymous, aggregate information like page views, country, browser, and device type — never anything that identifies you.
What we don't collect
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Payment information (we never handle a transaction)
- Precise location — at most we see the country a visit came from
- Login credentials (there are no accounts to log in to)
- Anything that could identify you personally
Cookies
We don't set any first-party tracking cookies on this site. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free. The Pinterest domain verification meta tag and the Google Search Console verification meta tag are passive metadata — they don't set cookies or track visitors.
If you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may set its own cookies on its own domain. That happens after you leave our site and is governed by Amazon's privacy practices, not ours.
Affiliate links
Almost every product link on Deals Nerd is an Amazon Associates affiliate link. When you click one and buy something, Amazon may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. The cookies and tracking that follow are Amazon's — see the Amazon Privacy Notice for the details.
Third-party services
Running a website always involves a few external services. Here are the ones that touch your visit, and what each one sees:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — anonymous, aggregated traffic data (pageviews, country, device type). No cookies, IP anonymized. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Standard server request logs apply (timestamp, requested URL, generalized location, user agent). See the Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Sanity.io — our content management system. Only editors interact with it (via
/studio); regular visitors don't. Mentioned here for completeness. - Amazon — the destination of our affiliate links. Once you click through, you're on Amazon and their privacy practices apply.
- Pinterest — if you use a “Pin it” button or follow a link to our Pinterest profile, you're taken to pinterest.com and their privacy practices apply there.
Children's privacy
Deals Nerd is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect any data from minors. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, this is largely moot — but we wanted to say it explicitly.
Your rights
Privacy laws like the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Because we don't hold any personal information about you in the first place, there's nothing for us to send back, correct, or delete.
If you have a question or concern, reach out via Pinterest and we'll do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything here — adding a new analytics service, adjusting a third-party integration, or otherwise — we'll update this page and bump the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be obvious; routine wording cleanup won't.
